Kousuke’s parents had long dreamed of opening a kissaten-style coffee shop together. After his father passed away, Kousuke decided to bring that dream to life, transforming the family home into the café it is today. A guitar that belonged to his father is displayed inside, adding a touching reminder of the inspiration behind the space.

The name “SANGAS” comes from Australian slang for sandwiches, reflecting the café’s focus on coffee and hearty sandwich offerings. “Chipper,” meanwhile, conveys a cheerful, lively mood, fitting for the welcoming atmosphere the family has created.

The food menu centers on three signature sangas: ham, tomato and arugula; tuna melt; and chicken schnitzel. Chipper’sは、コウスケさんと妹のシオリさん、お母さんの家族で営まれています。コウスケさんは以前、Dairoku Coffeeで働いていた経験もあります。もともとコウスケさんのご両親には、一緒に喫茶店を開くという夢がありました。お父さんが亡くなった後、その夢を形にしようとコウスケさんが動き、実家をカフェとして生まれ変わらせました。店内にはお父さんのギターも飾られており、この場所のストーリーを静かに伝えています。

「SANGAS」はオーストラリアのスラングでサンドイッチの意味。コーヒーとしっかりしたサンドイッチを提供するコンセプトを表しています。「Chipper」は、明るく元気な気分という意味で、家族のあたたかい雰囲気にもぴったりの名前です。
