The shop is about a 10 minute walk from Keihan Line’s Moriguchi Station, tucked into a quiet residential area. A white lantern displaying “SLÖW Coffee” hangs at the front, making it easy to spot. The exterior features a charming stained glass window, and along the side you’ll find both the small takeout window and the café’s entrance. Inside, the space is compact but inviting, with three counter seats facing the kitchen and another three arranged toward the back. The café occupies part of a century-old nagaya, sharing the building with Ralala (instagram.com/ralala_rika), a hair salon run by the owner’s sister-in-law, and a leather workshop operated by his brother.

The owner’s background shapes the identity of SLÖW Coffee. He previously worked at Brooklyn Roasting in Kitahama and also gained experience at cafes in New Zealand, blending technical skill with a laid-back, open attitude. The stand currently serves coffee from Brooklyn Roasting, but he plans to begin roasting his own beans in the future, adding a personal touch to the lineup.

The menu features espresso drinks, hand-drip coffee, and specialty options like Omatcha Americano alongside flavored varieties. The beverage selection extends to craft beers, New Zealand wines, and creative cocktails including espresso martinis and sake sangria. For food, the café serves three bagel varieties, Choco Banana & Cream Cheese, NY-style Pastrami & Cream Cheese, and Classic Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese as well as baked sweets, affogato and vanilla ice cream.
