京都西部の郊外、阪急京都線・西京極駅から徒歩10分のところ、西京極総合運動公園のすぐそばにとても素敵で居心地の良いカフェ、「Westend Coffee Roasters」『ウエストエンド・コーヒー・ロースターズ』があります。2023年10月1日にオープンして、アトリエYi:hausビルの1階にあります。同じ建物には建築会社「yi:haus」、観葉植物の店「Grow」とファッション店「Monkey Crew]もあります。このカフェは、以前は「Yi:Haus」で定期的にコーヒーイベントを開催していらっしゃった「Iwata Coffee」さんによって営まれており、今は「Westend Coffee Roasters」として進化しました。

店内に入ると、広々としたコンクリートが主体のスタイリッシュな空間に、木や布、暖かなラグなどが巧みに配置され、心地良い雰囲気が広がります。レトロでミッドセンチュリーとナチュラルヴィンテージのインテリアスタイルになっています。多くの木材、おしゃれな本でいっぱいの本棚、様々な生地素材、緑が美しい植物、暖かな色調のインテリアなどが相まって、より魅力的な雰囲気を作り出してます。しかし、一番のハイライトは、カフェの奥の天井に吊り下げられたDIYペンダントライトのラックで、様々な形のエジソンライトがランダムに配置され、電球の暖かな光でより心地良い雰囲気を醸し出します。
