Que Pasa Marutamachi

Located in central Kyoto is “Que Pasa Marutamachi” instagram.com/quepasa_burrito , a Mexican restaurant, popular for its lively atmosphere and authentic cuisine. Initially opened in 2016 by the friendly owner Ryota ( Burritomakio ), the restaurant quickly became a favorite. In 2023, it temporarily closed due to the demolition of its building but reopened in a new location in April 2024. The main store is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Keihan-Line Jingu-Marutamachi Station (exit 3) on the bustling Kawaramachi Dori. There is also a second branch, Que Pasa Downtown, situated in the Karasuma area.

The interior is spacious and features a warm and cozy design with wood-paneled walls and vibrant orange seating. The tables are simple and sleek, complemented by bright, welcoming lighting. Decorative posters enhance the space’s character, contributing to a retro-modern vibe. Overall, the atmosphere is inviting and stylish, perfect for casual dining. The seating consists of counter-height tables with counter chairs in the middle, counter seats along the windows, two boots and leather c section in the back. There is also outdoor seating available.

Que Pasa offers a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, including tacos (chicken, pork or vege), burritos (chicken, beef, pork, vege or vegan as well as a wet burrito), and quesadillas, nachos and chips. For drinks Que Pasa offers Corona, tecate, sol, alongside a selection of margaritas, caipirinha, mojito, pina colada as well as softdrinks.
