Kansai’s café façades, interpreted in needle and thread.
Stitch of Kansai is a side project I began in late 2025, after several unsuccessful attempts to publish a coffee-table photo book of café exteriors. Looking for another way to share the charming café façades found throughout Kansai, I started embroidering them.
Through this project I share my interpretation of café architecture in needle and thread. I hope you enjoy these stitched façades as much as I enjoy making them.
