Tucked away in an alley in the trendy Nakazakicho area is π Spectacle (pie Spectacle), a unique cafe and bar. As a branch of the renowned Spectacle cafe in Kitahama, Pie Spectacle offers its own delightful experience. It sits on a 5-minute walk from Tanimachi Line - Nakazakicho Station or a brief stroll from Hankyu Umeda Station. Pie Spectacle opened its doors in June 2023, welcoming guests to its renovated kominka-style cafe.

With its distinctive industrial exterior adorned in sleek grey corrugated sheets, the cafe boasts large windows and a sliding door entrance, creating an intriguing visual appeal.

As you step inside, you will immediately notice the dj booth on the left where lovely vynil sound background music sets the mood within the cafe. Directly ahead, you'll find the order counter and kitchen, adorned with a beautiful blue tile countertop, corrugated wood counter wall with a brass baseboard and a small window that gives a customers a peak on todays delicious sweets. On top of the counter are Spectacle's signature canelé for sale. To the right along the base of the staircase is a long bench with small round Artek Aalto 90D tables, and walking past the kitchen to the back is a small dimly lit seating area with 3 tables. To the right of the entrance is the stairs to the second floor and a large atrium from which a beautiful Isamu Noguchi Akari 35 N washi paper pendant lamp is hanging. Going up the stairs to the second floor, you'll discover a large seating area with counter seats and small tables at the front, while larger tables and a comfortable sofa section await you at the back. The interior exudes a vibrant ambiance, spanning across two floors and offering plenty of seating, perfect for gatherings with friends. With its art deco-inspired design and abundant artwork, the café boasts a unique charm. The front atrium adds to the sense of spaciousness, creating a delightful atmosphere.

The menu is extensive and offers a wide selection of food, drinks, and sweets. For food, Pie Spectacle features their signature Tarte Flambée, curry plates, pasta plates, and various side dishes for a satisfying lunch or dinner. The sweet options include a variety of cakes, tiramisu, crème brûlée, petite treats like financiers, and seasonal sweets. Additionally, their signature cannelés are a must-try. The drink menu is equally impressive, featuring an array of coffee choices such as espresso, americano, crème chantilly, various lattes, drip coffee, and even alcohol-infused lattes with rum or cassis. Apart from coffee, there is also a selection of teas, matcha, passion fruit or framboise soda, juices, and an assortment of alcoholic beverages, including wine from Vintique Japan, highballs, beer, and bottled beer from France.
