We are back in one of our favorite districts in Osaka, Kitahama! Visiting Spectacle. A cafe that is easy or hard to find depending on which direction you are coming from. If you are coming from the South-West direction you will be able to spot ‘Spectacle’ standing out with its darkblue exterior with Spectacle written in big white letters at the top quite easily. But if you come from the North it will be harder to spot as the cafe is jampacked between two other buildings with the only access through a narrow alley.

Spectacle consists of four floors. The basement that is mainly used for roasting coffee. The first floor is mainly the kitchen and the cashier and the third and fourth floor are the main areas where you can enjoy your drink or meal with a nice view over the river and the Tenma district.

Artistic is probably the best way we can describe this cafe as the interior has various styles of furniture. That in combination with the art on the walls, the metal stairs and the concrete interior of the building make it feel like a contemporary art piece.

Spectacle has a varied menu with lots of tasty dishes to choose from. Coconut curry, taco rice, tarte flambee is just a small sample. They even have sweets. But we really recommend their coconut curry. Spectacle’s coconut curry is probably one of the best in Osaka. We’d love to be proven different.

Best Autumn cafes in Kansai

さあ、再び戻ってきました！大阪で１番好きなエリア、北浜！今回の目的地は、「スペクタークル」です。北浜駅から来られる場合、真っ青な建物に大きな白い”spectacle”という文字が目印です。反対側から来られると、狭い路地を通ることになるため、少し見つけにくいかもしれません。

「スペクタークル」は、地下１階、地上３階建てのカフェです。地下１階は、主にコーヒーのロースティングで使われていますが、座れる場所もあります。１階にはキッチンとレジがあり、２階と３階は窓からの美しい景色を眺めながら、食事を楽しめるスペースです。
多種多様なインテリアに囲まれた空間は、まさに「芸術的」！ユニークな家具、壁に飾られた絵画、そして床に敷き詰められたコンクリートのタイルを見ていると、まるでモダンアートの世界に紛れ込んだかのような気分になります。

幅広いメニューを展開しており、カレーやタコライス、そしてタルト・フランベーなど、スイーツも豊富です。イチオシメニューはやはりココナッツカレー。大阪で１番美味しいカレーです。
