Opened in October 2025, Olivestand (instagram.com/_olivestand__) is a charming new café located in Ibaraki City, Osaka, just a 10-minute bike ride from Hankyu Kyoto Line’s Ibaraki Station. The café is run by Yuna (www.instagram.com/___una08), who previously operated a small rental coffeestand with the same name in Morinomiya before realizing her dream of opening her own place. Together with her younger sister and mother, she has transformed a former café space into a welcoming spot that radiates warmth and personality.

The name Olivestand is inspired by Shodoshima, Yuna’s mother’s hometown and Japan’s historic center of olive cultivation. The café reflects this connection not only in its name but also in its atmosphere, a cozy blend of island warmth and Osaka friendliness. Yuna, a skilled barista with experience at Starbucks and Schoolbus Coffee Kyoto, brings her refined touch to every cup of coffee and plate served.

Inside, the café features mainly counter seating as well as a small table for two near the entrance. The interior has a warm atmosphere thanks to the natural light from the large windows. The soft wooden tones, handmade shelves, chalkboard wall, and carefully chosen ceramics create a homely and relaxed environment. There are also outdoor bench seats for guests who wish to bring their pets.

The menu centers around hearty curry plates and sandwiches, complemented by a tempting lineup of sweets such as French toast, carrot cake, and lemon cake made with Shodoshima’s fragrant green lemons. The drink menu includes Olivestand’s own coffee blend, tea, soda, and even alcoholic options such as Shodoshima’s Mamemame Beer and local nihonshu. A selection of handmade cookies shaped like miniature schnauzers, based on the family’s dogs of which three are miniature schnauzers, adds a touch of whimsy.

In addition to food and drinks, the café also sells soaps, creams, oils, and other small goods. Inside, Yuna’s sister runs a corner featuring second-hand clothing from her own brand, Odorukokoro (www.instagram.com/_odokoko_)

2025年10月に、阪急京都線茨木市駅から自転車で10分ぐらいのところに、素敵なカフェ「Olivestand」(instagram.com/_olivestand__)がオープンしました。このカフェはユナさん (http://www.instagram.com/___una08)が営んでおり、以前は森ノ宮で同じ名前の小さなレンタルコーヒースタンドを運営していました。建物は元々ちがうカフェでしたが、Yunaさんは妹と母親と一緒に、温かさと個性があふれる居心地の良い空間へと変えました。

店名の「オリーブスタンド」は、ユナさんの母親の故郷であり、日本でも歴史的なオリーブ栽培の地として知られる小豆島にちなんで名づけられました。スターバックスやスクールバスコーヒー京都で経験を積んだバリスタのユナさんが、⼀杯のコーヒーから⾷事の⼀皿まで、丁寧に⼿づくりしています。

店内はカウンター席が中心で、入り口近くには2人掛けの小さなテーブルも。大きな窓から差し込む柔らかな光が、空間に温かみを添えています。柔らかな木のぬくもりや手作りの棚、壁に掛けられた手作りの黒板、そしてセンスよく選ばれた陶器が、どこかほっとする落ち着いた空間を演出しています。ペットと一緒に過ごせる屋外のベンチ席もあります。

メニューはボリュームたっぷりのカレープレートやサンドイッチを中心に、フレンチトースト、キャロットケーキ、小豆島産の香り高いグリーンレモンを使ったレモンケーキなど、スイーツも充実。ドリンクメニューは、オリーブスタンド特製ブレンドコーヒー、紅茶、ソーダがあり、小豆島産のまめまめビールや日本酒などのアルコールも提供されています。オーナーの家族が飼っている3匹のミニチュアシュナウザーをイメージした、遊び心あふれる可愛いミニチュアシュナウザー型の手作りクッキーもあります。

食べ物と飲み物以外にも、ソープ、オリーブ風クリーム、オイルや他の雑貨も販売されています。さらに、オーナーの妹は店内で自分のブランド Odorukokoro (www.instagram.com/_odokoko_) の古着を販売しています。
