Standard Co. Ltd famous for its beautiful home renovations as well as cafe renovations (9 Borden Coffee) has opened it's doors to their own cafe "Standard Cafe & Gallery" on 06 October 2023. The cafe sits on the ground floor of a tall concrete appartment building across the street from Utsubo Park on a 8 minute walk from Midosuji Line - Honmachi Station. The cafe takes over the space where Clutch Cafe used to sit.

The café is spacious and has been completely renovated into a stylish space that is divided into two sections and showcases a multitude of materials that are sample of the materials used for their renovations. The front area which is the main cafe area consists of one large beautiful terrazzo table in the middle for eight people and four tables for two on the left side of the cafe. In the back on a raised floor you can find a small kids space as well as two private spaces that can be reserved for a small fee. The two areas are separated by a large bookshelf in the middle filled with books about renovation and architecture. Standard Co.ltd even has their own beautiful book about their renovation work for sale inside the cafe. There is also a large curved bench in front of the cafe for people to enjoy their drink outside.

The menu includes coffee (hot, cold, latte, espresso), tea (green breeze detox tea, orange hibiscus tea or rooibos nectar tea) or lemon soda. Food include a choice out of various small muffins or various sandwiches including blt, ham&cheese or egg. You can enjoy everything inside the cafe or take out and visit the lovely Utsubo park across the street.

Standard Cafe & Gallery might be named standard but the stylish spacious interior or the delicious coffee proves otherwise.
