Welcome to Len Kyoto Kawaramachi, not to be confused with Lower East Nine's LEN , Len Kyoto Kawaramachi is a combination of hostel and cafe/bar located on a 10 minute walk from Hankyu Kyoto Line's Kawaramachi Station and 5 minutes from Keihan Line's Kiyomizu Gojo's station.

The wide exterior has a full glass façade that uses safety glass. On warmer days they usually have the doors wide open to give passersby a full view of the cozy interior. Len has a spacious interior with dark tones and an industrial style design that features a bare ceiling and natural hardwood/iron tables and chairs. The interior features some mechanical elements with a ceilingfan that runs with a belt and motor on the ceiling and a peculiar contraption net to the toilet door that moves a weight up and down when you open door.

Right near the entrance is an elevated platform with a L-shaped counter that runs along the wall and the window and in the rear of the cafe is a large sofa lounge to relax. There are plenty of seats available and its possible to study there.

The menu has a wide selection of coffees and soft drinks as well as sweets and a food menu, but what's nice is that every time you order a drink with which you will get a receipt that you can use to get a 100 yen discount for the next drink.

Len Kyoto opens early in the morning, has friendly staff and a wide menu which makes it a great place to get a drink and relax before or after an outing.

レン京都河原町へようこそ。ローワーイーストナインのLENと間違えなくて、レン京都河原町は、阪急京都線の河原町駅から徒歩10分、京阪本線の清水五条駅から5分の場所にあるホステルとカフェ/バーです。

外観は広くて、網入りガラスを使用した全面ガラス張りの外観になってます。暖かい日には、カフェの前の通行人に居心地の良いインテリア見せるためにドアが全開されます。レンのインテリアは広くて、ダークトーン、スケレトン天井、金属とウッドのテーブルと椅子に構成されて、インダストリアルスタイルのデザインになっています。インテリアは、天井にベルトとモーターで動かされる天井ファンとトイレのドアを開ける際に隣におもりが上下に動かす特徴な機能があります。

エントランスのすぐ近くには、壁と窓に沿ってL型のカウンターが付いた小上がりがあり、カフェの奥にはリラックスできる大きなラウンジソファがあります。お客席が多くて、勉強と仕事することもできます。

メニューにはコーヒー、ソフトドリンク、スイーツと食品が多くあり、ドリンクを注文するたびにレシートがもらえるので、そのレシートで同じ日に次の注文するときに100円割引になります、とてもお得です。

レン京都は朝早くオープンし、フレンドリーなスタッフと選択が豊富なメニューがあり、お出かけの前後にドリンクを飲みながらリラックスするのにおすすめなカフェです。
