Kurasu Ebisugawa

Kurasu Ebisugawa is a coffee specialty shop and the second branch of the Kurasu brand ( here the first branch ) in Kyoto, located on a walking distance from Kyoto’s Imperial Palace and gardens.

The café has an ivory colored façade with a wide entrance which makes it a little more accessible for people in wheelchairs and strollers if the small step is not an issue.

In front of the entrance is a large counter island which serves both as the order & preparation counter as well as the counter where the customers can sit and drink, which makes it an ideal place for customers to interact with the friendly staff.

The seating area behind the counter is a small and limited, consisting of a variety of modern but comfortable pieces of furniture.

On the right side of the café is large shelving covering the entire wall, displaying various items for making coffee that can be purchased.

While Kurasu sells coffee, they also have matcha, houjicha and even mandarin drinks for people who don’t drink coffee. For coffee fanatics they sell exclusive Kurasu blends that are on display.
