'In the green' is a casual café/restaurant, located right next to Karasuma line's Kitayama station and sits partially inside Kyoto Botanical Garden.

It's a spacious restaurant with three seating areas of which one is a semi-terrace that is covered by a retractable roof. Right next to the restaurant is a field with cherry blossom trees that when blooming in spring makes for an absolute lovely sight while having lunch. The restaurant has over 120 seats which consists or table seats, sofa seats as well as a few counter seats facing the kitchen. There are also larger tables that can seat groups of six.

The menu of 'In the green' has a wide selection of foods and drinks that include 'pizza (choice of over 16 pizzas), pasta, spareribs, tandoori chicken', a variety of appetizers, set lunches, side menus and of course a wide variety of sweets. There is absolutely something for anyone. They also have a BBQ plan and rent out picnic baskets to enjoy lunch inside the botanical garden (need to pay a small admission fee).

'In the green' is a nice café with a casual atmosphere, it has a large menu and a lovely view over the cherry blossoms in the spring. The café is extremely popular so we highly recommend coming early or making a reservation.

烏丸線の北山駅から近く、京都府立植物園のすぐ隣にカジュアルなカフェ・レストラン「イン・ザ・グリーン」があります。

広々としたレストランで、3つのカフェエリアがあり、そのうちの1つは引き込み式の屋根ついてるテラスになっています。レストランのすぐ隣には桜の木の畑があり、春の時期にとランチを食べながら素敵な景色を楽しめることが出来ます。レストランには120席以上があり、テーブル席、ソファ席、キッチンに面したカウンター席もいくつかあります。 6人のグループで利用できる大きなテーブルもあります。

イン・ザ・グリーンのメニューには、「ピザ（16種類以上のピザから選ばれます）、パスタ、スペアリブ、タンドリーチキン」など、さまざまな前菜、セットランチ、サイドメニュー、多様なスイーツに構成されています。誰にも何か食べられるものがきっとあります。さらに、バーベキュープランがあり、ピクニックバスケットを借りて、植物園内「入場料は別」でランチを楽しめることもできます。

「イン・ザ・グリーン」はカジュアルな雰囲気で素敵なカフェで、メニューにも選べるものが豊富ありますし、春に美しい桜の景色も楽しめるカフェです。カフェはとても人気なので「特に週末、祝日や桜の時期」オープン前の30分ぐらいに来るか、予約した方がおすすめです。
