Aloha from Nakazakicho! Welcome to the new 'Haiku Coffee Roasters'.

Moved from a quiet alley near the Tengo Nakazaki Shopping street, HAIKU Coffee Roasters is now located on a 5 minute walk from Tenjinbashi 6-Chome station along a quiet residential road in the 2-Chome area.

The space is a bit larger than the old place with a different layout where the kitchen is now near the entrance and much bigger. The rest of the space has a more balanced seating space for the customers.

Similar to the old place the new cafe's color scheme remains unchanged with a focus on it's trademark peacock blue color.  However, since the new location has more space in front of the shop and also an extra window in the back of the café, a lot of light can reach inside which gives it a warmer atmosphere.

All the furniture, Haiku's roasting machine, Hawaiian decoration and kitchen counter are brought over from the old place but the customers now have an extra brass countertop where they can enjoy their drink while talking with the owners and see how they carefully prepare the drinks with their stylish brass tools.

The entrance and interior are spacious so even welcoming for people with strollers or wheelchairs. The café has counter and table seats as well as two small benches right in front of the kitchen for up to 16 people.

Haiku, contrary to popular belief, is not the Japanese type of poetry but is the name of a town in Maui where the owner’s wife is originally from. They both run HAIKU Coffee Roasters together.

On the menu are a few different drip coffees, chai tea, craft beer and homemade ginger ale. For food they have bagels, a brownie and a original Haiku banana bread.

HAIKU Coffee Roasters is the ideal café to have a drink, eat some sweets and relax or to have a nice chat with the friendly owners.

中崎町からアロハ！「ハイクコーヒーロースターズ」の新店へようこそ。

ハイクコーヒーロースターズは、天神中崎商店街の近くにある静かな路地から、天神橋6丁目駅から徒歩で5分ぐらいの2丁目エリアに移動しました。

スペースは以前の場所よりも少し広くなって、レイアウトが少し変わりました。ここ、キッチンが入り口の近くになって、だいぶ大きくなりました。キッチン以外のお客席のスペースは、お客様のためによりバランスの取れた座席スペースになっています。

古い場所と同様に、新しいカフェの配色はトレードマークのピーコックブルーの色がメインです。ただし、新しい場所は店の前にもっと広い道があり、カフェの奥に窓もあるので、いっぱい光が店内に差し込んで、暖かい雰囲気になります。

家具、ハイクの焙煎機、ハワイアン飾り、キッチンカウンターはすべて元の場所から持ち込まれていますが、真鍮製のカウンタートップが今回カウンターのお客席になって、オーナーと話しながらドリンクを楽しんだり、スタイリッシュな真鍮ツールで依頼されたドリンクを準備してる様子も近くから見ることができます。

入り口とインテリアが広くて、ベビーカーや車椅子には入りやすいです。カフェには最大16人用のお客席があり、カウンター席、テーブル席とキッチンの前に小さなベンチが2つで構成されています。

ハイクという名前は日本の俳句ではなく、オーナーさんの奥さんの地元の名前です。マウイ島のハイクのエリア出身です。二人で一緒にハイクコーヒーのオーナーです。

ハイクコーヒーロースターズのメニューには「様々のドリップコーヒー、チャイ、クラフトビールと手作りジンジャーエール」があります。さらにベーグル、ブラウニーとお店限定のオリジナル「ハイクバナナブレッド」もあります。

ハイクコーヒーロースターズはコーヒーを飲みながら、スイーツを食べながらリラックスするか優しいオーナーさん達と楽しい話することができますので、とてもおすすめなカフェです。
