Hidden away in the beautiful courtyard of the Nashinoki-Shrine is 'Coffee Base Nashinoki', a stylish coffee stand that opened it's doors in July 2022 and is Coffee Base's third and loveliest branch. The shrine's courtyard has multiple entrances so finding the coffeestand might be a little confusing. Just follow the main center path towards the Nashinoki-Shrine entrance and Coffee Base will be slightly hidden behind a maple leaf tree on your left side at the end of a small path through a garden.

The coffee stand is situated inside a former temple house with the entrance consisting of long white noren (traditional Japanese fabric dividers). Passing through the noren you will immediately face a black marble order counter that has sharp contemporary design contrasting against the retro Japanese style building. In the back of the counter are glass jars with coffee beans lined up against a white wall. Inside the tempel house is mainly for ordering coffee and since there are no chairs inside customers can choose to either go outside or drink while standing next to the counter and talk with the staff. However if weather allows it, enjoying your drink in front of the cafe's beautiful Japanese garden is a must. The garden comes equipped with two small wooden benches and zabuton pillows placed on the deck of the temple house for customers to enjoy the peaceful garden area.

Being a coffee specialty shop Coffee Base naturally has a wide selection of coffees consisting of drip coffee and cafe latte that come in single and blend as well as espresso drinks: flat white, black latte, espresso, long black and Nashinoki's specialty cold brew coffee. What makes Nashinoki's specialty cold brew coffee special is it's use of the temple's water which comes from a natural water spring called Somei no Mizu (染井の水), listed as one of the three top springs in Kyoto.

Besides coffee they also have bottled matcha milk & azuki or strawberry milk as well as lemonade, matcha latte, houjicha latte and even chai latte, so that even for non-coffee drinkers can enjoy.

Coffee Base Nashinoki is an absolutely wonderful coffee stand located in a beautiful and peaceful area with a menu that can be enjoyed by many. We highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

京都の梨木神社の素敵な庭園にはスタイリッシュなコーヒースタンド「Coffee Base Nashinoki」『コーヒー・ベース・梨木』が隠れています。お店は2022年の7月にオープンして、コーヒーベースの3号店で、3店の中に一番素敵な支店です。神社の庭園には様々な入口があるから、お店見つけるのはちょっと難しいかもしれませんが、庭園の真ん中にある道を神社の入口まで辿ったら、途中の左側にコーヒーベース梨木が現れます。

コーヒースタンドは元々の神社の建物の中にあり、入口にお店のロゴが載ってる真っ白ののれんが掛かっています。のれんを通ると目の前にコンテンポラリーなデザインのコーヒーカウンターが現れます。コーヒースタンドは全部黒でレジカウンターは真っ黒のマーブル製です。後ろの壁は真っ白で棚の上にガラスコーヒージャーが陳列されて、とてもスタイリッシュなコーヒースタンドです。店内は主にオーダーするだけですが、椅子がないからカウンターの横で立ち飲みするか外にある庭で飲める選択があります。良い天気だったらもちろん庭で楽しめるがおすすめです。庭に小さなウッドベンチが二つと建物のウッドデッキの上にある座布団で座って、飲みながら素敵な庭の眺めを楽しめることが出来ます。

コーヒー専門店だからもちろん様々なコーヒーがあります。ドリップコーヒーとカフェラテはシングルとブレンドの種類があり、またはエスプレッソベースでフラットホワイト、ブラックラテ、ロングブラックと梨木店の限定水出しコーヒーがあります。梨木店の限定水出しコーヒーは神社の「染井の水、京都の天然水の一番高いクオリティ)天然水を使ってとても特別です。

珈琲以外にも抹茶ミルク、ストロベリーミルク、またはレモネード、抹茶ラテ、ほうじ茶ラテとチャイラテもあり、コーヒーが飲めない方も楽しめれます。

コーヒーベース梨木はとても素敵な場所にある素敵なお店でとてもおすすめです。
