Opened on June 17, 2017, “Cafe Dot S” is a stylish café located in the Okazaki area of Kyoto. Dot S Cafe is part of the Mercedes Benz Smart Center, which sells Smart brand cars and shares the same space with the car shop under one roof. The shop and café sit on the corner of the crowded Okazaki Dori and Nijo Dori, a stone's throw from Heian-Jingu Shrine, Kyoto Kyocera Museum, Kyoto Zoo, and many other noteworthy spots.

The café has two entrances, one in the front and one in the back, and features a spacious interior with a modern, contemporary design consisting mainly of concrete and mortar materials. The kitchen and order counter are located in the center of the café, with the seating area around it. There are various seating options, including normal tables and chairs, hay palisade chairs with low tables, counter seats, and even a unique window nook space.

The window nook features a minimalist design with a dark, rectangular frame and a small, round table in the center. On either side of the table are cushioned seats with black pillows, creating a comfortable spot for relaxation or conversation. Taking a seat in this space requires you to take off your shoes.

Cafe Dot S is a specialty coffee café where drinks are carefully prepared. The menu includes café latte (600 yen), americano, espresso, oat milk latte, soy latte, and cold brew using beans from Takamura Coffee Roasters. There are also original drinks like espnatcha (espresso matcha), matcha latte, houjicha latte, Mork cocoa (made with organic Mork chocolate), and lemonade. For non-coffee drinkers, juices are also available.

For food, Dot S serves lunch plates such as beef keema curry and Hokkaido gnocchi genovese. Besides lunch, the café also offers hot dogs and sweets like affogato, tarts, and ice cream.
