A stone's throw away from Kyoto Gyoen Park and the Imperial Palace is 'Ten', a homely café and cigar smoking lounge. The café sits on the second floor of a standalone house that is shared with a cigar room on the ground floor. Both the cafe and the cigar lounge are completely separated and even accessible by different entrance doors. Standing in front of the building, the glass door on the left leads to the cafe upstairs while the wooden door on the right leads to the cigar lounge.

Going up the steep stairs, you will enter a quiet and refined living room style café where you first have to order and pay at the kitchen before you can take a seat. Unfortunately the café doesn’t accept cash, only electronic payments so be careful. After you pay the staff will lead you to your seat.

The interior base color is white, with white walls and ceiling that feature black girders and beams supporting the roof and a blue carpet flooring. The furniture consists of expensive high quality wooden pieces like: Pierre Jeanneret Teak Wood Rattan Chair, Hans J Wegner The Chair, Hans Wegner RY20 sideboard and other beautiful teak furniture.

The menu consists of lunch (toast, pizza toast, napolitan, omuraisu, pilaf etc) and a sweets menu (fruit sandwich, pudding). For drinks there is coffee as well as soft drinks like cola, cream soda, juice and more.

Ten is a nice cafe to relax for lunch or sweets but note that the cafe is very strict when it comes to it talking and moving around. It also doesnt allow high school students to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

京都御苑や京都仙洞 御 所すぐ近くに、アットホームな雰囲気の喫茶店兼喫煙ラウンジ「点」があります。カフェはー戸建ての2階にあり、1 階にシガー ルームがあるのに完全に分離されています。入口もセパレートで左側のガラス戸は 2 階のカフェに、右側の木製のドアはシガー ラウンジの入口です。

急な階段を上ると、静かで洗練されたリビングルームスタイルのカフェに入りますが座る前にキッチンで注文と支払いが必要です。残念ながら、このカフェは現金を受け付けておらず、電子払いのみなので注意が必要です。払ってからスタッフが席に案内してくれます。

家具は、ピエール ジャンヌレ チーク材のラタン チェア、ハンス J ウェグナー ザ チェア、ハンス ウェグナー RY20 サイドボード、他の美しい高価な高品質の木製家具で構成されています。

メニューはランチ（トースト、ピザトースト、ナポリタン、オムライス、ピラフなど）とスイーツメニュー（フルーツサンド、プリン）で構成されていますがメニューはたまに変わります。ドリンクはコーヒーの以外に、コーラ、クリームソーダ、ジュースなどのソフトドリンクもあります。

「点」はランチやスイーツでくつろぐが出来る快適なカフェですが、落ち着いた雰囲気を守るためにおしゃべりは控えた方がいいスタイルのカフェです。スタッフも結構厳しいのでご了承下さい。
