In the middle of Honamachi area, not far from Midosuji Honamchi station is the high-class French diner called ‘Qui Feu Qui’.

For those that don’t speak French, Qui means who and Feu means fire in French. The name thus becomes Who Fire Who, which in Japanese  would translate more as ‘someone’ and ‘someone’ equals ‘fire’. The deeper meaning is that if you introduce food between the two someone’s it will create a lovely or warm atmosphere and/or end up in friendship, hence the fire.

‘Qui Feu Qui’ doesn’t just simply serve French food. Their menu’s and preparation speaks high class. They serve fresh and high quality food that is beautifully prepared and presented.

One of their main dishes is a glass plate with various fresh and almost raw meats like: “liverpaste, pate, white meat, duck, etc” placed in a circle around some salad with on the side, five stylish glass tubes with a variety of toppings inside that the customer can try with each piece of meat. It’s a unique experience.

Their menu offers a variety of animal meat that are harder to find in the usual French restaurants like: “Deer, ox, boar, rabbit and even pigeon”. All carefully prepared and beautifully displayed.

Even a simple piece of bread comes with a stylish plate and butter knife. And of course they have some great wines too.

A lunch or dinner at ‘Qui Feu Qui’ is definiteily a unique experience with a meal to remember.

御堂筋本町駅の近くの本町エレアの高級フレンチレストラン「キ フー キ」があります。

店名の「Qui Feu Qui」はフランス語でQui=誰、Feu=火、Qui=誰という意味です。お店からの説明ですが「誰かと誰かが火、すなわち、食事をはさめばそこは素敵な場所にそこは素敵な時間になるという意味を込めました。

キ フー キ はただのフレンチレストランでなく、キ フー キ のメニューは丁寧用意されたりプレゼンテーションも素晴に出してます。高級と新鮮な材料で丁寧に調理されたり、綺麗に

メインの一つの皿は冷前菜の盛り合わせです。グラスプレートの上にレバーペースト、パテ、白い肉、かもなどが円に置いてあります。そのすぐとなりに５つのグラスチューブにブラッドオレンジやレモン、香草にマヨネーズなどのソースが添えられているので色々味わいながら頂きます。どちらのソースでも美味しいです。

メニューから様々な肉「鹿、ギュウ、イノシシ、うさぎ、鳩など」が選ばれます。どちらでも丁寧に調理されて、綺麗に置いてされます。

ただパンの一片でもバターとナイフはおしゃれに置いてくれます。美味しいフレンチワインもあります。

キ フー キ の料理のプレゼンテーションが印象的でとても美味しいので良い経験です。
