Opened in November 2023 is this stylish cafe called "Pear Press Cafe" that sits in North-Kyoto's Kamigamo ward on a 5 minute walk from Karasuma Line - Kitayama Station exit 2. The cafe sits on the groundfloor of a small apartment building in a quiet neighborhood.

The exterior has a warm mid-tone brown wood colored frame with large windows, a curved section next to the sliding glass entrance door. As you step inside, a small seating area awaits on the left, ingeniously utilizing the curved section. It includes a comfortable fabric bench, a wooden bench against the wall, and two sturdy hardwood chairs arranged around a cozy living room-sized table. In the heart of the café, a lengthy wooden bench lines the left wall, while the kitchen and order counter occupy the right. Moving towards the rear, a spacious café area unfolds, accommodating three dining tables of varying sizes, providing ample space for guests to unwind. The café harmoniously combines raw, unfinished materials like the exposed concrete ceiling and walls with inviting, warmer-toned wood elements and furnishings.

The menu has a variety of options from drinks including today's coffee, hand drip coffee, espresso, cafe latte (550 yen~), chai latte, houjicha or orange juice. Coffee is sources from the renowned "Style Coffee" and is also for sale as beans on the shelf next to the entrance. For food, customers can choose from small sweets next to the order counter or for something more heavy like a morning plate, panini, hotdog or sweets like a cream puff, mont blanc cake or raisin butter sandwich, something for anyone.

外観は、温かみのあるミッドトーンのブラウンウッドフレームに大きな窓が特徴で、ガラス引き戸の入り口の横に曲線部分があります。店内に足を踏み入れると、左側には曲線を利用した小さな座席エリアが広がります。快適な布製のベンチや壁沿い木製のベンチ、リビングルームテーブルを囲む頑丈な無垢材の椅子が配置されています。カフェの中心部の左側の壁沿いに長い木製のベンチ、右側にはキッチンと注文カウンターが設置されています。カフェの奥には、カフェスペースがあり、大小のダイニングテーブルが3つ配置され、ゲストがくつろげる十分なスペースを提供しています。このインテリアでは、むき出しのコンクリートの天井や壁など荒い素材と、魅力的な温かみのある色合いの木材や家具を調和的に組み合わせています。
