Kibun Coffee (instagram.com/kibun_coffee) is a coffee and sweets café in Osaka’s Nishitanabe area, opened in October 2023. Just a short walk from Nishitanabe Station, the café is operated by the daughter of the family behind @konamon_kibun, an izakaya on the ground floor, while Kibun Coffee occupies the building’s second floor. The name “Kibun” (気分) in Japanese translates to “mood” or “feeling.”

The interior follows a Korean-style theme, warm and natural design with extensive use of wood, from the tables and chairs to the counter and exposed ceiling beams. The space combines simple concrete flooring with soft lighting from hanging bulbs and spotlights, creating a clean yet organic atmosphere. Large potted plants and pampas grass add touches of greenery, while a mix of stools, chairs, and bench seating provides options for individuals or groups. The layout is open and uncluttered, with a balance of counter seating and tables near the window, emphasizing both functionality and a relaxed, modern aesthetic.

The café’s menu centers on coffee and house-made sweets. Seasonal variations are expected, with offerings ranging from standard coffee options to specialty drinks, accompanied by desserts and light fare. Takeout service is available in addition to dine-in.
