Kamigyo ward Kyoto, on a 10 minute walk from Randen Line - Kitanohakubaicho Station or a two minute walk from bustop Kamishichiken (10, 50, 51) sits the lovely retro cafe 'Kaze To Coffee Kissa Kazeko'. Kaze To Coffee, which opened on January 14, 2022, is situated in Kamishichiken, one of Kyoto's five historic geisha districts. This peaceful residential area is known for being one of the oldest hanamachi (geisha districts). The café is managed by Mr. Mori, one of the youngest generation of café owners, who originally started Kaze To Coffee in his early twenties as a take-out stand in a Thai restaurant. In 2020, he opened his first brick-and-mortar shop with eventually launching his second shop Kaze To Coffee Kissa Kazeko in 2022. Kazeko is regarded as a ネオ喫茶 (neokissa), which means it offers innovative coffee akin to that found in overseas coffee shops, or menu items that put a modern twist on classic coffee shop fare, all while preserving the traditional coffee shop atmosphere.

The coffee shop features a distinctive exterior, predominantly white with redbrick walls on the ground floor, making it stand out from the neighboring houses. The entrance is recessed in the middle of the facade and entering the shop you will be welcomed by a dimly lit cozy interior. The interior features a retro interior style with lots of dark wood, a cocoa bean colored floor and typical Japanese kissa style brown brick wall in the kitchen with a retro cupboard in the back featuring original Kaze-To-Coffee cups. The seating consists of a large table near the windows for 4 people, 3 seats along the kitchen counter, a small table for two against the wall and a small table for two near the windows.

The menu consists of a variety of delicious food items and drinks including walnut focaccia sandwich, bagel sandwich, tuna lettuce sandwich, redbean paste butter muffin, toasts, cheesecake, tart and even chocolate cake. For drinks there is of course coffee, handdrip, cafe latte, as well as roasted greentea latte or cascara milk. The shop also roasts and sells their own beans.

京都上京区エリア、嵐電線北野白梅町駅から徒歩で10分ぐらい、又はバス停「上七軒　１０，５０，５１」から徒歩で2分のところに、素敵なレトロカフェ「風と珈琲　喫茶カゼコ」があります。2022年1月にオープンして、上七軒は京都の5つの歴史ある花街のひとつ、京都で最も古い花街のひとつとして呼ばれています。オーナーは20代前半にタイ料理店のテイクアウトスタンドとして「Kaze To Coffee」を始めた森さんと言います。2020年に初の実店舗をオープンし、2022年には2号店となる「Kaze To Coffee Kissa Kazeko」をオープンした。Kazekoは、伝統的な喫茶店の雰囲気を残しつつ、海外の喫茶店のような革新的なコーヒーや、定番の喫茶店のメニューに現代風のアレンジを加えたメニューを提供している「ネオ喫茶」として呼ばれます。

カフェは、周囲の建物から際立つように、主に白を基調とし、1階は赤レンガの壁という特徴的な外観になっています。入り口はファサードの中央に窪んでおり、店内に入ると薄暗い居心地の良い内装が広がっています。内装はレトロなインテリアスタイルで、ダークウッドがメイン、カカオ豆色の床、キッチンには典型的な日本の喫茶店風の茶色のレンガの壁があり、奥にはオリジナルの Kaze-To-Coffee カップが入ったレトロな戸棚があります。座席は、窓の近くに4人ようの大きなテーブル、キッチンカウンターに沿って3席、壁沿いの2人ようの小さなテーブル、窓の近くに2人ようの小さなテーブルで構成されています。

メニューは、くるみフォカッチャサンド、ベーグルサンド、ツナレタスサンド、あんバターマフィン、トースト、チーズケーキ、タルト、チョコレートケーキなど、おいしい食べ物や飲み物から選ばれます。ドリンクは、コーヒー、ハンドドリップ、カフェラテ、又はほうじ茶ラテやカスカラミルクもあります。また、店内で豆を焙煎して販売もしています。

風とコーヒーはレトロのカフェで居心地の良い雰囲気と美味しい食べ物とコーヒーでとてもおすすめなカフェです。
