This unique café is run by a young and driven entrepreneur, with a concept that sets it apart from others—it aims to provide support for individuals with Down syndrome. The café's name, Hicaru Coffee Roaster, holds a special meaning as it pays homage to the owner's late brother, who also had Down syndrome. Through personal experience, the owner witnessed the challenges faced by individuals with Down syndrome, as well as the discrimination and teasing they and their loved ones often endure. Driven by the desire to make a positive difference, the owner embarked on a mission to create a space that offers support and opportunities for this community. With this vision in mind, Hicaru Coffee Roaster was born. The ultimate goal is to make the café inclusive and accessible, providing individuals with Down syndrome the chance to work and thrive in a welcoming environment.

The café has a stylish exterior and interior with a beautiful cream colored mortar counter outside and a slick counter inside. The interior has a minimal interior design without any clutter except for some coffee goods on the kitchen counter. Opposite of the kitchen is a long mortar bench with some small round tables for the customers.

Hicaru's menu is simple with coffee (hand drip, americano, cafe latte (600 yen), caramel latte and espresso tonic) as well as drink chocolate or lemonade for the non-coffee drinkers. Currently the café doesn't have any food but is planning to sell sweets in the near future. The coffee is absolutely delicious and is carefully prepared by skilled baristas, in fact one of the baristas Tomoo Nonomura has won various latte art awards.

谷町線の谷町六丁目駅から歩ける範囲に2022年05月にオープンしたスタイリッシュなカフェ「Hicaru Coffee Roasters]　『ヒカル　コーヒー　ロースターズ』があります。

オーナーは若くて、野心的な男の子で、他のカフェと違って、特別の概念でお店を営んでいます。このカフェの概念はダウン症の方のサポートするカフェです。店名は感情的の深い意味で、オーナーの弟の名前から基づいています。弟もダウン症だった、若い年齢で亡くなりました。オーナーと弟も大変人生といたずらの経験がありましたからそのためにサポート・コミュニティを作りたいと思ってました。将来にはダウン症の方をサポートして、カフェでもスタッフとして働かせてみたい。

カフェの外観とインテリアはスタイリッシュで外側と店内にもクリーム色のモルタルカウンタがあります。インテリアは飾りが観葉植物2個しかないのミニマルなインテリアスタイルになっています。キッチンの向こう側に全壁にベンチといつかの丸いテーブルがあります。

メニューはシンプルでコーヒー「ハンドドリップ、アメリカーノ、カフェラテ「600円」、キャラメルラテとエスプレッソトニック」があり、コーヒーが飲めない方のためにドリンクチョコとレモネードもあります。食品はまだ提供されてないけど、近未来にスイーツを販売する予定です。コーヒーはプロのバリスタ「野々村智雄バリスタは様々のラテアートの試合を優勝しました」で丁寧に用意されて、とても美味しいです。
