ETRA

Opened on 28 October 2022 is this hidden gem in Kyoto called ETRA, an elegant French style bistro cafe located on a ten minute walk from Keihan Line - Jingu Marutamachi Station (exit 2). The name "ETRA" comes from the abbreviation formed from the first two letters of the words "Etoiles Rangee", which is French for "A row of stars". Etra is run by a friendly young lady fluent in both English and French. She excelled at the prestigious Ferrandi Paris culinary school, graduating at the top of her class. Following her time at Ferrandi, she honed her skills at several Michelin-starred restaurants before fulfilling her dream of opening a café in Okazaki, Kyoto.

The café sits on the ground floor of a small apartment building along Reisen dori, offering views of red brick structures across the street as well as the nearby river. In spring, customers can also enjoy terrace seats with a view of cherry blossoms inside the sunroom, that offers comfortable seating including sofas. The café boasts a French style, stylish modern interior, featuring Thonet Bentwood chairs and art deco touches. The sunroom includes folding patio doors that open completely during good weather, inviting guests to enjoy the outdoors while sitting inside.

The menu offers a delicious range of brunch items featuring high-quality ingredients such as the butter waffle plate, French toast, bread & soup, breakfast plate, and brunch plate. Additionally, the café menu entices with various options like canelé, chouquette & dip, tora pound, French toast banana bread, and pavlova. When it comes to beverages, ETRA offers their house-made selection, including earl grey soda, ginger ale, mocktails, and hot ginger as well as a variety of coffee choices such as espresso, Viennese coffee, iced coffee, along with black tea, herbal tea, and soft drinks. If you're in the mood for alcohol, they also offer a selection of wine, beer, champagne, sauternes, and house cocktails.

Pets are welcome in the sunroom exclusively and the café also offers pet treats for sale.

京阪線神宮丸太町駅の「2番出口」から徒歩約10分の場所に、2022年10月にオープンした洗練されたフレンチスタイルのビストロカフェ『ETRA』があります。店名はフランス語の「Etoiles Rangee（エトワールランジェ）」の最初の二つの単語を取って略したものです。Etra は、英語とフランス語にペラペラで、フレンドリーな若い女性に営まれています。彼女は名門フェランディ・パリ料理学校で優秀な成績を収め、首席で卒業しました。フェランディでの勤務後、彼女はいくつかのミシュランの星付きレストランでスキルを磨き、その後、京都の岡崎でカフェを開くという夢をかなえました。

バターワッフルプレート、フレンチトースト、パン＆スープ、ブレックファストプレート、ブランチプレートなど、素材にこだわった美味しいブランチメニューを取り揃えております。さらに、カヌレ、シューケット＆ディップ、トラパウンド、フレンチトーストバナナブレッド、パブロバなどのカフェメニューも魅力的です。飲み物に関しては、ETRA ではアールグレイソーダ、ジンジャーエール、モクテル、ホットジンジャーなどの自家製セレクションのほか、エスプレッソ、ウィンナーコーヒー、アイスコーヒー、紅茶などのさまざまなコーヒーもあります。ハーブティー、ソフトドリンク。アルコールを楽しみたい場合は、ワイン、ビール、シャンパン、ソーテルヌ、ハウスカクテルなどもあります。

ETRAではペット同伴も可能ですが、サンルームの席はペット可能の席になります。さらに、ワンちゃんのクッキーも販売されています。
