‘Doors Coffee Roastery’ is a stylish cafe and roastery that opened on 12 April 2023 and is located in Kasagi, a small town south of Wazuka in Kyoto along the Kizu river. The cafe is Asakara Good Store‘s second shop and is designed with camping and outdoor activities in mind, and while the cafe is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, it’s also a great spot for anyone just looking for a delicious meal or a cozy place to relax.

The café sits in a more than 80-year-old (1930s) kominka that once served as a kimono shop has been partially renovated. The result is a beautiful, stylish shop with a large atrium above the kitchen, making it feel spacious and welcoming. The kitchen and counter seats are in the front area, while the camping goods store and a table for two are in the back.

The black exterior of the building and the tent next door make it easy to spot, and it is just a 2-minute walk from the JR Kansai line Kasagi station, which has a lovely one-car train that arrives once an hour. For those who prefer to drive, there is free parking nearby. The beautiful exterior features wood and brass elements with gold lettering on the windows, and the interior has a corrugated plates wall that lets in lots of light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Doors Coffee Roastery also sells camping goods, making it the perfect stop for anyone who needs to restock or pick up some gear. The cafe serves a variety of delicious savoury dishes, including sandwiches, hot dogs, sausages, and fries, as well as sweets such as financiers and banana bread. The drink menu includes coffee (blend, cold brew, cafe latte, caramel latte, and decaf), juice, and a variety of teas (houjicha latte, matcha latte, sencha, etc.). They also sell drippacks, financiers, and tea from Uji.

2023年4月12日にオープンしたスタイリッシュなカフェとロースタリーの「Doors Coffee Roastery」 は、京都の和束の南、木津川沿いの小さな町、笠置にあります。 アサカラグッドストアのオーナーが手がける2店舗目のカフェで、近くにキャンプ場があることもあり、キャンプやアウトドアを意識した店舗設計になっているので、特にアウトドアが好きな方にはピッタリのカフェです。

築80年以上（1930年代）元は織物の店だった古民家をリノベーションしたカフェは、キッチンの上に大きな吹き抜けがあり、開放感のある美しいスタイリッシュな店内になっています。 手前のスペースはキッチンとカウンター席、奥のスペースにはキャンプ用品や食品の売り場と二人掛けのテーブル席があります。

黒い外観と建物の隣にあるテントが目印で、1時間に1本、1両編成のJR関西線笠置駅から徒歩で2分に位置しています。 車で訪れる方は、近くに無料の駐車場があります。 外観はスタイリッシュで、入口のドアは木と真鍮の組み合わせが印象的で、ガラスには美しい金色の文字でカフェのロゴが入っています。建物側面には、光が差し込むように設けられた大きな波板の壁があり、そこから店内に差し込む光が温かく居心地の良い雰囲気を作り出しています。

Doors Coffee Roasters ではキャンプ用品も販売しており、備品の補充やピックアップが必要な人に最適です。 カフェのメニューは、フードメニューも充実しており、しっかり食べたい人も満足できる「サンドイッチ、ホットドッグ、ソーセージ、フライドポテト」などがあり、「フィナンシェやバナナブレッド」などのスイーツメニューもあります。サンドイッチはアサカラグッドストアのクオリティそのままで、単なるカフェの軽食とは一線を画す内容で、さすが！という感じです。ドリンクメニューは、コーヒー（ブレンド、水出し、カフェラテ、キャラメルラテ、デカフェ）、ジュース、様々なティー（ほうじ茶ラテ、抹茶ラテ、煎茶など）もあります。 ドリップパックやフィナンシェ、宇治のお茶も販売しています。
