If there's a renowned café and coffee brand in Kyoto, it's 'Coyote.' Their popularity shines through with 'Coyote the Ordinary Shop,' located conveniently near Kyoto Station, and 'Coyote The Roots,' a charming small shop nestled near Kiyomizu Gojo. On 25 March 2024 Coyote expanded with the opening of their 3rd and newest branch 'Coyote Roastery'  instagram.com/coyote.kyoto. Coyote Roastery sits within a shouting distance from Keihan Line - Demachiyanagi Station (exit 5)  in a renovated akiya along a crowded road.

The café features a glass façade spanning its full width, complete with sliding doors that can be fully opened, creating an inviting atmosphere for passersby. Inside you will find a modern contemporary interior that makes use of  raw materials. The kitchen counter wall is painted in Coyote's signature faded blue hue and the seating area consists of hard wood tables with a large chunk of rock for a foot  and seats that consists of tree stump stool and a long split log bench.

Coyote proudly serves coffee from El Salvador, where they mainly purchase green beans directly from farms belonging to members of the ACOPACA Producers Association in Chalatenango Department, in the northwestern part of the country. For over a year, COYOTE's buyers resided on the cooperative's farms, actively aiding the growth of the local coffee industry. This period fostered a robust bond of trust formed through their membership among the producers. The coffee is unique and only available at Coyote.

The menu is short and simple and offers hand drip, americano, oat milk latte, cafe latte (660 yen), mocha or cold brew. There is also cocoa latte, tea, apple juice and even kids drink. Make sure to get a drink in one of Coyote's beautiful special order made ceramic cups by "Donoma Studio", Donoma also offers ceramic workshops.

Coyote's newest branch is a stylish cafe with friendly staff that is conveniently located near the station and serves absolutely delicious El Salvadorian coffee.

カフェのファサードは全幅ガラス張りで、全オープン出来る引き戸が備わっており、通行人にとって居心地の良い雰囲気を作り出しています。 店内は、無垢の素材を活かしたモダンでコンテンポラリーなインテリアデザインが広がります。キッチンカウンターの腰壁は、コヨーテの特徴である色あせたブルーの色合いで塗装されており、シーティングエリアは、テーブルの足元に大きな岩のが使われており、木の切り株のスツールと長く割られた丸太のベンチで構成される座席で構成されています。

コヨーテはエルサルバドル産のコーヒーを自信を持って提供しており、主にエルサルバドル北西部のチャラテナンゴ県にあるACOPACA生産者協会のメンバーが所有する農場から生豆を直接購入しています。1年以上にわたり、COYOTEのバイヤーは協同組合の農場に常駐し、地元のコーヒー産業の成長を積極的に支援しました。 この期間は、生産者間のメンバーシップを通じて形成された強固な信頼関係を育みました。 コヨーテでしか飲めないユニークなコーヒーがコヨーテの特典です。
