There is a new stylish café on the block and it's called 'cafe sud'.  Located on a short walking distance from Hankyu Kyoto line's Tonda station, the cafe is located on the second floor above a hair salon. It's accessible by climbing the spiral staircase in the front of the hairsalon. As you walk up the stairs you will immediately get a good view of the entire stylish interior through the large glass window.

Cafe sud has a spacious contemporary style interior with a concrete floor, mortar walls and furniture and the eye piece of the interior, dozens of long slanted wooded rods hanging evenly spaced from the ceiling. It's quite a sight and feels like a Kuma Kengo designed space. One wall on the side of the cafe is decorated with various plants that are placed on similar shaped wooden rods that stick from the wall.  The café also has beautiful brass pendant lamps hanging from the ceiling which are mostly for decoration as the café has two large windows facing a busy street that let in all the light needed to give the café a nice atmosphere. The furniture consists of 1 large and 2 smaller wooden tables that have a mortar coating and come with stylish wooden dining chairs, with a total for up to 12 people. The café was designed entirely by the young owner who is also a first class architect.

The menu consists of coffee (espresso, americano, cafe latte, etc), lattes, vinegar based drinks, frappes and softdrinks. As for sweets there (basque cheese cake, rich chocolate cake, scone) as well as seasonal sweets.  A café latte comes in a bodrum glass with a layer of fluffy foam on top. That in combination with a white chocolate terrine (season sweet) is amazing. The terrine comes with a pinch of salt for special flavoring.

Cafe sud is an extremely stylish café with friendly staff that serves great coffee and delicious sweets so go check it out.

阪急京都線の富田駅から徒歩で5分以内にスタイリッシュなカフェ「cafe sud」がヘアサロンの上の2階にあります。アクセスは螺旋階段で、登りながらカフェの大きな窓で全体のおしゃれなインテリアが見えます。

カフェのインテリアは広くて、コンクリート床、モルタル壁と家具とカフェの一番特徴のは天井から吊り下げられている長細い木材の棒、コンテンポラリーなスタイルになってます。片方の壁は様々な種類の植物で覆われています。大きな窓で自然なライトがメインでいい雰囲気になってますが真鍮のスタイリッシュなペンダントライトもあちこちに吊り下げてる。家具はウッドに覆われているモルタル性の大きなテーブル一つと小さなテーブル二つとおしゃれなダイニングチェアに構成されています。空間のデザインは若い一級建築士のオーナーに全体デザインされました。空間みたら、将来の隈研吾さんかもしれない。

メニューには、コーヒー（エスプレッソ、アメリカーノ、カフェラテなど）、ラテ、酢ベースの飲み物、フラッペ、ソフトドリンクに構成されています。さらに（バスクチーズケーキ、濃厚チョコレートケーキ、スコーン）や季節限定のスイーツもあります。カフェラテは、ふわふわの泡にあるボドラムグラスに入っています。ホワイトチョコレートテリーヌ（季節堰堤）との組み合わせはとても合います。テリーヌには、特別な風味を出すための塩が少し皿に置いてあります。

Cafe sudは空間がとてもおしゃれで、スタッフもフレンドリーで、コーヒーとスイーツもとても美味しくて、本当に見て欲しいカフェです。
