Focacceria Chucho (instagram.com/chucho.kyoto) is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in central Kyoto, just a short walk from Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line. Located on the west side of Iwadagami/Itodera-dori between Horikawa and Karasuma streets, the café is within easy walking distance of the Kyoto Imperial Garden and Nijo Castle, making it an ideal stop before or after sightseeing.

Opened in April 2026, Focacceria Chucho is a new café concept from Kyoto’s well-known coffee house COYOTE. While COYOTE is renowned for its specialty coffee, this sister shop places homemade focaccia at the center of the menu, serving freshly baked sandwiches from morning through the early afternoon.

The café occupies the ground floor of a modest building with a simple chalk-white exterior and a recessed glass façade that offers a glimpse inside. The interior follows a clean, contemporary aesthetic with warm lighting, minimalist décor, and a handful of tables for two, creating a relaxed neighborhood café atmosphere. Please note that the café is cashless only.

Coffee is prepared using COYOTE’s expertise, with the house blend available hot or iced alongside espresso-based drinks such as lattes. Drinks can be ordered individually or as part of a sandwich set. The highlight, however, is the café’s daily homemade focaccia. Baked fresh each day, the bread has a crisp, golden crust and a soft, chewy interior, providing the perfect base for generously filled sandwiches. Popular choices include Mexican-inspired and teriyaki varieties, while desserts such as cream puffs and tiramisu make an excellent finish to the meal. Sandwiches are typically available until around 2:00 p.m., or until sold out, after which the café transitions into a more relaxed coffee-and-dessert destination.

フォカッチェリア チュチョ（Focacceria Chucho）は、京都市中心部の静かな住宅街に佇むカフェ。地下鉄烏丸線・丸太町駅から徒歩数分、京都御苑や二条城からも歩いてアクセスできる便利な場所にあります。

2026年4月にオープンしたこちらは、京都で人気のコーヒーハウス「COYOTE」が手がける新ブランド。スペシャルティコーヒーで知られるCOYOTEの技術を活かしながら、自家製フォカッチャを主役にしたカフェとして、朝から午後まで焼きたてのサンドイッチを提供しています。

1階にある店舗は、白を基調としたシンプルな外観が目印。大きなガラス越しに店内の様子が見え、気軽に入りやすい雰囲気です。店内は落ち着いた照明とミニマルなインテリアでまとめられ、2人掛けのテーブルを中心とした、街の日常に溶け込むような居心地のよい空間になっています。なお、支払いはキャッシュレス決済のみです。

コーヒーはCOYOTEならではのこだわりの一杯を提供。ホット・アイスのハウスブレンドをはじめ、ラテなどのエスプレッソドリンクも楽しめます。単品はもちろん、サンドイッチとのセットメニューも用意されています。

看板メニューは、毎日店内で焼き上げる自家製フォカッチャ。表面は香ばしく、中はもっちりとした食感で、具材をたっぷり挟んだ食べ応えのあるサンドイッチに仕上げています。メキシカンや照り焼きなどの食事系に加え、食後にはシュークリームやティラミスといったスイーツもおすすめです。サンドイッチは14時頃まで（売り切れ次第終了）の提供で、その後はコーヒーとスイーツをゆっくり楽しめるカフェとして利用できます。
