Located at the foot of Mt. Rokko in Hyogo Prefecture, TAOCA COFFEE Jurinji Roastery (instagram.com/taocacoffee_jurinji) is a specialty coffee roastery and café known for its quiet atmosphere and carefully roasted coffee. Opened on November 24, 2019, it is the third location of TAOCA COFFEE, a brand that first launched in Koyoen in 2014. The café was created not only as a place to serve coffee, but also as a community-focused space with facilities for roasting and barista training.
The roastery is about a 15-minute bus ride from Hankyu Shukagawa Station and also offers dedicated parking for around 15 cars. Set on a hillside overlooking scenic surroundings, the location has become popular with visitors looking for a more relaxed coffee experience away from busy commercial areas. The peaceful setting and open views are a major part of its appeal.
TAOCA COFFEE Jurinji specializes in in-house roasted specialty coffee beans, with roasting focused on bringing out sweetness and balance in each cup. Customers can usually choose from two different beans for drinks such as hot coffee, café au lait, and lattes. The food menu is simple, with items like butter toast, anko butter toast, and occasional seasonal sweets including fig financier. The café also sells coffee beans, brewing equipment, and gift boxes for customers interested in home brewing.
The building itself blends into the quiet residential neighborhood with a warm gray concrete exterior and a clean, minimalist interior. Inside, guests can watch the roasting process while enjoying a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The café also includes terrace seating with views of the surrounding landscape, and the space is non-smoking and family-friendly.
What makes TAOCA COFFEE Jurinji stand out is the combination of specialty coffee roasting and its scenic location. The focus on quality coffee, thoughtful design, and community has helped it become a well-known destination for specialty coffee enthusiasts visiting the Hyogo area.
