mm_room

Opened in April of 2023 is café "mm_room" in Katsura area that is located on 12 minute walk on the west side from Hankyu Kyoto Line - Katsura station. The café sits on the second floor of a renovated building along a busy road.

Mm_room is the sister branch of the extremely popular "mm_coffee" in Nagaokakyo that opened its doors in 2019. Going up the stairs you will enter a spacious interior with the kitchen and order counter in the middle of the space, the seating area in the front and a small table with goods for sale in the back. The entire interior of the café was renovated by the owner himself and has a bright and warm atmosphere with lots of wood textures. The charm point for the café is the balcony filled with plants in front of the windows, with the curtains half closed and the sun shining the plants form a lovely silhouette throughout the café which adds to the coziness.

The menu consists of a drink menu including coffee and juice, a sweets menu including pudding, terrine, ice, affogato and cookies, a toast menu including butter, almond butter, hamcheese etc and a limited time only menu. In the morning there will be additional items available.

Mm_room is a lovely café great for a relaxing drink or delicious sweets located in the Katsura area.

2023年4月にオープンして、阪急京都線・桂駅から徒歩で12分ぐらい西方向へ、カフェ「mm_room」があります。カフェは道路沿いにある改装されたの建物の2階にあります。「mm_room」は、2019年に長岡京にオープンした大人気店「mm_coffee」の姉妹店です。

階段を上がると広々とした店内が広がり、真ん中にキッチンとオーダーカウンターがあり、その手前にテーブルとC刑のカウンター席で構成されているカフェスペースがあります。お店の奥にオリジナルグッズが販売されている小さなテーブルが置いてあります。オーナーが全部自分でリノベーションした店内は、木材が多くて明るく温かみのある雰囲気になってます。カフェのチャームポイントは、窓の前に植物が植えられたバルコニーで、カーテンを半分閉めると太陽の光がカフェの中に美しいシルエットを作り、居心地の良さを高めます。

メニューは、コーヒー「ホット、アイス、ラテ（550円）、ロングブラック、キャラメルラテ、チョコレートラテ」やジュースのドリンクメニュー、「プリン、テリーヌ、アイス、アフォガート、クッキー」などのスイーツメニュー、バター、アーモンドバター、ハムチーズなどのトーストメニューまたは期間限定メニューで構成されます。モーニングにさらに他のアイテムも提供されてるみたい。

「Mm_room」は桂エリアにある、ゆっくりドリンクと美味しいスイーツを楽しめる素敵なカフェです。
