Located on a short walk from Hankyu Arashiyama station is this stylish hotel and Japanese/Italian restaurant called '儘 MAMA'.  It's located slightly off the beaten path in the small town before you cross the bridge to main center island that leads to the famous Togetsu-Kyo bridge. The restaurant is hidden by thick shrubs and a Japanese style gate with white noren.

The restaurant has a spacious and elegant interior that is mostly white with a smooth concrete flooring and wood elements.  The space is divided in two areas with on the left a lounge area with one rectangular table and counter chairs and on the right normal tables for the more intimate setting. Up the stairs are 3 more rooms that are for private gathers and can be booked.

The food is mostly Italian (pizza, pasta) but with a Japanese twist. They also have steak and sashimi. Everything looks amazing and tastes delicious.

Mama Arashiyama is a must try if you are in the neighborhood and are looking for something a little more fancy.

阪急嵐山駅から徒歩で5分以内におしゃれな和風・イタリアンレストランとホテル「儘 MAMA」があります。レストランは普段に観光客が通らない道沿いに位置して、樹木と白いのれんで掛けられてる日本の門の後ろに隠してる贅沢な穴場です。

店内でインテリアが広くて、エレガントな雰囲気になってます。全体的に主に白くて、床がスムーズなコンクリとでウッドの要素に構成されています。客席のスペースは左側はカジュアルで大きいなテーブルとカウンターチェアで、右側もと居心地が良いテーブル席があります。さらに階段を上がってから貸し切り個室が三つもあります。

食べ物は主にイタリアン（ピザ、パスタ）ですが、日本風にアレンジされています。ステーキや刺身もあります。全部とてもおしゃれにアレンジされて、とても美味しいです。

嵐山のお出かけの時に少し贅沢な時間を過ごしたいなら「儘 MAMA」は非常におすすめです。
