On a five minute walk from Tsuruhashi station, in a quiet neighborhood in the Tennoji ward sits a stylish coffeeshop called 'Coffee Taiga'. The cafe sits in an old corner building on the groundfloor and due to the renovation has a distinct design with a partial grey mortar façade and steel bench that runs along the width of the large windows.

The café opened its doors in February 2023 and was named after the owner 'Mister Taiga' who previously worked as a civil servant but finally realized his dream opening his own cafe.

The entrance of the cafe is tucked away in a recessed area on the side of the building. Upon entering, you will find a modern and spacious interior that mostly features concrete and mortar materials, with an artistic decor. The owner himself created the shelving behind the kitchen and counter. The seating comprises a c-shaped mortar bench along the walls and windows, facing inward towards the kitchen, which allows customers to engage in conversation with the owner.

Coffee Taiga places a strong emphasis on ceramics, which is one of Mister Taiga's primary interests, alongside Utada Hikaru. The cafe uses a variety of beautiful ceramics, which are displayed behind the kitchen counter. Notably, the cafe features latte cups custom-made by Mister Murasawa and designed by the owner, as well as uniquely shaped donut plates created by Mister Oonishi.

One other notable item at Coffee Taiga are the coffee tickets, which showcase beautiful paisley art created by the owner's wife. These tickets are available for purchase (5000 yen for 11) along with matching stickers.

Coffee Taiga is a great addition to the café scene with a stylish café run by a friendly owner who also speaks a little English where you can enjoy coffee and donuts served with beautiful ceramics in a casual atmosphere.

鶴橋駅から徒歩で約5分、天王寺区の閑静な住宅街に新しいおしゃれなカフェ「珈琲大雅」『キッサ・タイガ』がオープンしました。 カフェは角地の建物の1階にあり、角に面した大きな窓のまわりは改装によってグレーのモルタルで仕上げられ、その窓に沿ってスチールベンチが設けられた独特なデザインとなっています。

カフェは2023年2月にオープンし、以前は公務員として働いていたが、ついに自分のカフェを開くという夢を実現したオーナー「ミスター・タイガ」にちなんで名付けられました。

カフェの入り口は建物の横のアルコーブ部分に隠れています。店内に入ると広々とした空間が広がり、インテリアデザインはコンクリートとモルタルの素材をメインとし、芸術的な装飾が施されたモダン・コンテンポラリーとなっています。キッチンカウンターとその後ろにある棚は、オーナーが自作されたそうです。 客席はモルタル製のベンチでキッチンと対面するように壁面に沿ってC型に配置されており、オーナーと会話がしやすいレイアウトになっています。

珈琲大雅は、宇多田ヒカルの歌以外だと陶器にとても力を入れており、キッチンカウンターの後ろの棚には素敵な陶器が飾られて、お客様にも様々な美しい陶器でメニューを提供されています。特に注目なのは、店主がデザインした村澤さん特注のラテカップや、大西さんのユニークな形のドーナツプレートです。

珈琲大雅のもう1つの一押しアイテムは、オーナーの奥様がデザインしたハンドメイドの美しいペイズリーアートのコーヒーチケットです。「11枚綴り5,000円」。ペイズリーアートの可愛いステッカーも購入が出来ます。

メニューはシンプルでエチオピア、ケニア、インドネシアの厳選された豆を使ったコーヒーやカフェラテがあります。 コーヒー豆はすべて深煎りで、コクのある味わいを引き出しています。 こだわりのコーヒーはもちろん、シュガードーナツもあります。

珈琲大雅は、英語も少し話せるフレンドリーなオーナーさんが営んでいるスタイリッシュなカフェで、カジュアルな雰囲気の中で美しい陶器で提供されるコーヒーとドーナツを楽しむことができます。
