Blue Bottle Coffee launched a new cafe in Kyoto, called Blue Bottle Coffee Rokkaku which is located on a 10 minute walk from Karasuma station.

This branch is located in a 100 year old machiya. The interior and exterior of Blue Bottle Rokkaku is different from their other Kyoto branch. While the interior here and there still has the weathered and bare look, the tone of the interior is much darker.

The café works together with a bicycle shop next door and that partnership can be seen on the outside where a bicycle hangs on the exterior of the café.

At first glance this Blue Bottle branch might seem to have only a take out counter, but behind the counter are stairs that lead to the 2nd floor’s sitting area.

Up the stairs is a large sitting area. If you pass those seats in the back you will find a passage with more seats that lead to the back of the cafe. In the back are a few tables with a little more privacy.

京都の烏丸駅から徒歩で10分以内にブルーボトルコーヒーの新しい店「京都六角カフェ」がオープンしています。

ブルーボトル六角は築100以上の町屋にあり、内外装は他の京都支店とは異なります。あちこちのインテリアはまだ風化して裸のように見えますが、インテリアのトーンはもっと暗いです。

カフェは以前は自転車屋でしたが、カフェの外観の壁に丸ごとに自転車を設置して、その歴史を称えました。

一見、このブルーボトルの支店には1階のテイクアウトカウンターしかないように見えるかもしれませんが、カウンターの後ろには2階に上がってカフェエリアがあります。

階段を上ると広いカフェエリアがあります。後ろの席を通過すると、カフェの後ろに通じる席の多い通路があります。カフェの奥にある席はもう少しプライバシーがある。
