Mia's Bread - Taste Of Kansai

Opened on March of 2017 is ‘Mia’s Bread’, a lovely retro style bakery and cafe located on a 10 minute walk from Kintetsu Nara station.

The bakery located in a quiet side-street along the Naramachi Odori Road and is easily recognizable by it’s peculiar exterior. The façade of the bakery is decorated with a number of retro signs, a weathered canopy, antique decorations and has ‘Mia’s bread - funny bread maker’ in big letters above the entrance.

The bakery and café sits in three-floor building with a narrow deep interior. The bakery and shop are located on the ground-floor. You can select your bread or sweets here for to-go or eat-in.

If you decide to eat-in you will have to pay for your order first and after that you are free to find a seat on the second floor café area, the third floor café area or the roof terrace on the third floor.

The second floor café area has 2 large tables for 4 people each, two smaller tables for 2 people each and a round livingroom table for 4 people. The cafe area on the third floor is quite small (about 9 square meters) and has 1 small table for 3 people and a long and narrow table that can fit up to 6 people. Last but not least is the roof terrace with 3 tables for 2 to 4 people each.

The interior of the bakery as well as the café areas are narrow with a retro design, decorated lots of antique goods including an antique phone with a rotary dial on the second floor next to the kitchen.

There is a variation of breads and other delicious baked goods for sale but the must have when eating in are either Mia’s bread’s Sandwiches or bagel sandwiches which both come with a variety of fillings e.g. avocado/shrimp, vegetables, etc . For drinks they have coffee, juices, lemonsquash, home made ginger ale so even people who can drink coffee have a few options.

Mia’s Bread is a lovely retro café with a cozy interior that sells delicious sandwiches that are delivered quite quickly to your table. It opens early morning so great before an outing and heavily recommended if you are in Nara.

2017年3月、近鉄奈良駅から徒歩で10分ぐらいにレトロな雰囲気のベーカリー＆カフェ「Mia’s Bread」『ミアズブレッド』がオープンしました。

奈良町大通り沿いの静かな路地沿いにあり、特徴な外観でとても目立ています。ベーカリーのファサードは、多くのレトロな看板、アンティークの飾り、風化している庇と入り口の上に大きな文字で「‘Mia’s bread - funny bread maker」『ミアズブレッド - 面白いパン屋さん』が書いてあります。

ベーカリーとカフェは、3階建ての長細い建物にあります。ベーカリーとショップは 1 階にあり、ここでパンやスイーツを選んで、テイクアウトやイートインができます。

イートインをご希望の場合は、先に注文して、支払いしてから2 階や3 階のカフェエリア、または 3 階にあるルーフテラスの席を自由に取れます。

2階のカフェエリアには、4人掛けの大きなテーブルが2つ、2人掛けの小さなテーブルが2つ、4人掛けの丸リビングテーブルで構成されています。 3階のカフェエリアはかなり狭くて（約９平米メートル）、3人掛けの小さなテーブルが1つと、6人くらいが座れる細長いテーブルもあります。ルーフテラスには 2 ～ 4 人用のテーブルが 3 つあります。

ベーカリーとカフェエリアの内観は狭くて、レトロなデザインした空間で、2階のキッチンの横にはダイヤル式のアンティーク電話があり、空間はアンティークグッズがたくさん飾られています。

様々な種類の美味しいパンや美味しい焼き菓子が販売されていますが、イートインするなら絶対にMia’s Breadのサンドイッチやベーグルサンドイッチが一番おすすめです。どちらも様々な具材「例：アボカド/エビ、野菜など」が入っていますがたっぷりでめちゃ美味しい。飲み物には、コーヒー、ジュース、レモンスカッシュ、自家製ジンジャーエールなどあるので、コーヒーが飲めない方でも心配しなくていい。

Mia's breadは、居心地の良い雰囲気で素敵なレトロインテリアなカフェです。パンやお菓子がとても美味しくて、オーダーしてから素早くテーブルに運ばれています。早朝からオープンなので、お出かけの前にもおすすめです。
