SÖT COFFEE ROASTER

Right in the middle of Tanimachi line’s Tenmabashi station and Tanimachi Yonchome station, on a walking distance of about 5 minutes of either station is a ‘Scandinavian’ style cafe called ‘SÖT COFFEE ROASTER’.

SÖT means sweet in Swedish and is a their motto, making everyone enjoy the sweetness of coffee like a fruit.

The entrance of the cafe consists of large glass windows through which you can look inside the cafe and see the large wooden counter. At first it might seem this is a small standing/take-out cafe but behind the stairs on the right is a small passage that leads to the spacious seating area in the back.

A large table with chairs where you can study or read a book, counter seats with sockets to charge your devices, table seats and even sofa seats for small meetings, SÖT offers a variety of seats for anyone.

In the back of the cafe is a shelf prepared with a variety of books and magazines that customers can freely enjoy while drinking their coffee.

SÖT COFFEE ROASTER has a modern Scandinavian interior design. The walls are a combination of concrete and black coated walls with a natural wood floor. The table- and countertops are all wood which give the cafe a warmer look and feel. The counter and big table seats are metal and wood but the tableseats and sofa are of a thick fabric. The cafe uses raillighting with spots and modern black round pendant lights throughout the entire cafe.

The cafe also serves as a gallery and exhibition space with artwork displayed throughout the cafe. So if you are and artist or into art this might be a good place for you. Then there is also a special area between the entrance and cafe that displays and sells accessories.

SÖT sells their own roasted coffee and shiro blends but their specialty is their Taiwanese Geisha coffee.

SÖT COFFEE ROASTER is a nice Scandinavian style cafe where you can quietly enjoy your coffee, read a book or enjoy art as well as do some work or study..
