Blue Bottle Coffee Chayamachi in Umeda Osaka is Blue Bottle Coffee’s 25th branch that opened in July 2021. It sits in a slick concrete building called Urban Terrace designed by Kitayama Kojiro on the corner along the Umeda-Kitano-street. The cafe covers the ground and the first floor with the interior designed by Tokyo based I IN . The cafe has has a spacious modern, contemporary design with roughly 50 seats.

The ground floor has the shop, order counter, standing and window counter seats. Up the large stairs in the back you will enter the second floor area which has a glass U-shaped seating area with a large monitor on the ceiling broadcasting chillout sounds. Around the U-shaped area are window counter seats and usual table seats.

The menu consists of coffee (espresso, drip and ice coffee), lemonade, hot chocolate, juice, tea and beer. For food they offer brunch plates, waffle plates, granola and a variety of desserts and pastries. So lack of choice there is none. Enjoy a drink or a bite with a view over the bustling street in front of the cafe, Blue Bottle Coffee Chayamachi is a lovely cafe to relax with a nice cup of coffee.
