Yellow Coffee Roasters
Yellow Coffee Roasters is a hip little coffee and muffin cafe located on a short walk from Kitanohakubaicho Station.
About
Located in North-West Kyoto, on a seven minute walk from Randen Line – Kitanohakubaicho Station is “ Yellow Coffee Roasters ” a small Asian coffee specialty shop.
The cafe sits in a renewed kyomachiya that was as an akiya for two decades before being transformed into the Yellow Coffee Roasters café. The interior is cozy and stretches across two floors. On the first floor, you’ll find the kitchen, order counter, and a general goods shop. The second floor, accessed via steep stairs in the back, offers a small seating area. The café’s renovation utilized recycled wood, resulting in a DIY-style interior entirely crafted from wood materials.
On the first floor, close to the entrance, you’ll discover the café’s main menu offerings, featuring a wide range of Muffmag muffins and chiffon cake. Muffins come in different flavors, such as montecarlo (choco and caramel), banana coconut, milky chai, citron, and more. Yellow Coffee is known for its focus on Asian coffee, offering an extensive variety from countries like East Timor, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, and Nepal.
Yellow Coffee Roasters is a charming coffee shop in North West Kyoto, just a 15-minute bus ride from world heritage site Kinkakuji temple. Its delightful coffee and muffins make it a perfect addition to your outing plans.
