Located on a two minute walk from Midosuji Line – Ryokuchikoen Station (West Exit) is the stylish ‘Standard Cafe & Gallery Ryokuchikoen’ branch (instagram.com/standard_cafe_and_gallery) along the crowded Route 423. Opened in July 2024, the Ryokuchikoen branch is Standard Cafe & Gallery’s second branch with the main shop located next to Utsubo Park and is renovated by the amazing Standard Co.Ltd renovation company.

The facade features a contemporary design that blends light gray concrete with warm wooden elements. Smooth concrete walls provide a clean, modern look, while wooden slats and ceiling panels add natural warmth. The signage is simple and elegant, with the cafe’s name displayed prominently. A lightbox sign stating “I ♥ COFFEE” highlights the main offering. Large glass doors and windows offer a welcoming view inside, with “Take Out” indicating takeaway services. Potted plants add greenery to the entrance, complemented by patterned tile flooring. Inside, an inspirational message on the wall enhances the inviting atmosphere.

The spacious interior features a welcoming and modern front area with an open and airy design. The space includes a large communal table that is a mix of warm wood and long pink bricks, surrounded by Vitra Chaise Tout Bois oak wood chairs , creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Behind the large table is a large wide shelf filled with books related to interior design with plants on top, adding a touch of greenery and homeliness. The kitchen counter is designed with a mix of sleek, light-colored tiles and a wooden countertop, where a vibrant red espresso machine and neatly stacked cups stand out. Large windows provide natural light and a view of the outside, enhancing the open feel of the space. This front area sets the tone for the cafe, while the back area offers another seating space, a more intimate corner space, aprivate rental area for interior design consultations, and a kids’ area, making the cafe ideal for families and children.

The menu offers a long list of various delicious items that include coffee, teas, softdrinks and floats. For food the cafe offers various baked sweets (tart, scones, donuts, cake etc) as well as various sandwiches (BLT, Egg, Honey Cheese Ham), Acai Bowl and Salads for people with a bigger appetite. The cafe opens at 7:00 am and offers electrical sockets to charge your devices which makes it a great cafe to get some work or study done as well.
