‘ Awaiya books ‘ is a charming bookstore/cafe located situated in a peaceful residential area on just a three minute walk from Nodahanshin station on the Sennichimae line. It sits in a 90 year old renovated nagaya that was part of a larger nagaya but was split up in 4 separate buildings during the renovation.

True to its name, ‘Awaiya books’ is a cozy book café where visitors can unwind and enjoy a good book while sipping on delicious coffee and sweet. Soft background music plays gently throughout the café to enhance the relaxing atmosphere.

The cafe occupies two floors, with the order counter and shop located on the first floor and the seating area on the second floor. There is also a cozy third floor with a narrow platform where a leather sofa is situated right beneath the roof-nook.

It features a large bookshelf that spans from the ground floor up to the second floor with an assortment of old and new books. Some books are even available for purchase.

The menu consists of coffee, cafe au lait, tea, fruits juice and hoji tea chai as well as a lychee soda float. For sweets there is a Awaiya Parfait, Zimi cake with icecream, Basque Cheesecake or baked sweets.
