If you are looking for a healthy and cozy vegetarian café, 'Vegginy' is the place to be. Vegginy opened it's doors in January 2017 and is literally a hidden gem on a 5 minute walk from Tozai Line's Kyoto Shiyakusho-Mae station, located in the basement of an apartment building.

The entrance is a little difficult to find since googlemaps doesn't clearly show the location, especially if you arrive early and the sign has not been put outside yet. The café is located in the apartment building left of the 'Vine Oak Aiina' building with the entrance being on the left which has a sign to a place called 'Hikari-yurari', another bar that is also located in the basement. Go down the stairs and at the end of the hallway you will find a wooden door that is leads to Vegginy.  Inside you will find a small cozy interior with two tables for four and a couple of counter seats.

The menu of Vegginy is completely Vegan and offers very delicious items like 'A special Vegan burger', 'Power buddha bowl (consisting of quinoa, carrots rape, tofu with spicy peanut sauce, tahini sauce, spicy tomato sauce etc) and Tofu Bahn Mi which is a Vietnamese Sandwich (with sweet soy sauce, carrots rape, homemade vegan mayonnaise, fresh vegetables served with a whole wheat baguette). For an extra charge all three dishes have optional soup or Rosemary potatoes. For dessert Veginny also serves vegan ice cream made from rice that is grown without pesticides.

Veginny is a fantastic vegan/vegetarian place that is great for vegans as well as non-vegans. The atmosphere is warm and the food tastes great! Definitely recommended.

京都でビーガンのカフェを探したら、続きを必ず読んで下さい。東西線の京都市役所前駅から徒歩で5分ぐらいに2017年1月にオープンしたヘルシーと居心地の良い雰囲気のカフェ「Vegginy」『ベジにー』があります。

カフェはマンションの地下1階にあるし、Googlemapsの位置情報もあまり明らかじゃないからちょっと見つけにくいかもしれない。Vine Oak Aiinaという建物の左隣のマンションの前立ったら、入口は一番左になります。階段降りて、廊下の突き当りにウッドドアはベジにーの入口になります。お店を入ったら、テーブル二つとカウンター席で構成されている居心地の良い雰囲気のインテリアがあります。

Vegginy のメニューは完全にビーガンで、「特別なビーガン バーガー」、「パワー ブッダ ボウル (キノア、ニンジンラペ、スパイシー ピーナッツ ソースの豆腐、タヒニ ソース、スパイシー トマト ソースなどで構成されています)」、「豆腐バインミー（これはベトナムのサンドイッチ（甘い醤油、にんじん菜の花、自家製ビーガンマヨネーズ、新鮮な野菜と全粒粉のバゲット）」などの非常に美味しいアイテムがあります。 この三つのアイテムに追加料金で本日のスープかローズマリーポテトも追加できます。さらにデザートは無農薬栽培のお米を使ったヴィーガンアイスもあります。

ビーガンの方、ビーガンじゃない方でも、Veginnyは居心地の良い雰囲気でとても美味しいご飯でとてもおすすめなカフェです。
