Cafe & restaurant CAVA is located along the Kamo River, on a 15-minute walk from either Karasuma Line's Kitaoji Subway Station or Kitayama Station and a 2-minute walk from Kamigamo Shobuencho Bus Stop.

The cafe is situated on the ground floor of a small maisonette with a large green canopy that has 'cava' written on it. Inside you will find a cozy and rustic interior. There are 3 tables of which two are near large windows that have a scenic view over the Kamogawa River and its river bank. In the spring you will be able to see beautiful cherry blossoms.

The menu is mainly pasta or pizza, but there are also a number of appetizers available. The cafe also has a sweets menu.

The pasta in the photos had gnocchi with rape blossoms and Gorgonzola sauce! Gnocchi is a slight C-shaped pasta, but there aren't many shops that sell gnocchi, so Cava is a recommended for gnocchi lovers.

Cava has a cozy atmosphere, delicious lunch menu and a beautiful view over the Kamo river. Also highly recommended to combine with an outing to the nearby Botanical garden.

地下鉄北大路駅から徒歩15分、バス停上賀茂菖蒲園町から徒歩2分の鴨川沿いにcafe & restaurant cava があります。

メニューはパスタやピザがメインで、その他にも前菜などたくさんの種類のフードがあります。

この日は菜の花とゴルゴンゾーラのソースのニョッキをいただきました！ニョッキはダンゴ状のパスタですが、ニョッキを出しているお店はそんなに多くないので、あると嬉しくてつい頼んでしまいます。

客席には鴨川に面して大きな窓があり、春には美しい桜を見ることができます。

料理もとても美味しく、居心地のいい空間が魅力の素敵なカフェです。植物園からも徒歩圏内なのでおすすめです。
