The popular Brown Eyes Coffee Ginkakuji cafe has expanded its business by opening a new branch "Brown Eyes Coffee Arashiyama" in the heart of Arashiyama on 19 July, 2023. Nestled on a quiet side street just a stone's throw away from Arashiyama's main street, Nagatsujidori, and Randen Line - Arashiyama Station, this stylish café sits in a beautifully newly constructed L-shaped building and covers two floors. The building has a modern Japanese design with a bright chalk white exterior that features "B.E.C. Arashiyama" in big letters on the front of the building so you cant miss it. As you ascend the steps towards the entrance, you'll be greeted by a large window adorned with an intricate wooden kumiko (Japanese muntin) pattern, casting enchanting shadows that enhance the atmosphere inside the shop.

The entrance is located on the left side, leading you past the kitchen to the back of the cafe. There, you have the option to choose seating on the ground floor or the first floor. With seating available for upto nearly fifty people, the cafe is very spacious, making it an excellent choice for larger groups. The interior provides a sense of openness, owing to the atrium and high ceilings, and a cozy atmosphere thanks to the abundant windows that offer a 360-degree view of the charming Arashiyama neighborhood. Despite its central location, the cafe manages to retain a degree of tranquility. The pièce de résistance is the large custom-made bamboo and washi lantern positioned in the center of the atrium, adding a unique touch to the cafe's ambiance.

入口は左側にあり、キッチンを通り過ぎて奥にカフェのエリアになります。ここでは、1階または2階で座席を選ぶオプションがあります。約50人までのお客席があり、グループでも入れるカフェです。吹き抜けと高い天井のおかげで空間は解放感がありますし、このカフェは四方に窓があり、周りの美しい嵐山を360度展望できる上で、店内に自然光がたっぷり差し込んで、居心地の良い雰囲気も加えます。しかし、カフェの中に一番目を引くのアイテムは、吹き抜けの天井に設置されているデカい特注の竹と和紙の提灯です。
