Opened its doors in November of 2014, the popular ‘Whitebird Coffee Stand’ is a small and cozy cafe on the corner of the Shin Midosuji road in downtown Umeda.

While the cafe has a distinguishable dark grey and stylish exterior, upon entering you will be welcomed by a very warm and cozy interior. The cafe has both table-seats and two counters of which one is facing outside.

The cafe serves delicious cakes and even people who can’t drink coffee are able to enjoy a variety of other delicious homemade drinks.

With no other cafe’s in the area this shop is an easy choice and while only “ONE” nearby station is mentioned below, the cafe is on a walking distance from multiple stations: “Kitashinchi, Oebashi, Yodoyabashi and Minami Morimachi”. All on a 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

The name of the shop was made up from the owner’s Chinese zodiac which is a bird as well as the relationship to the owner’s climbing hall called “Kawasemi” which is a Kingfisher bird in Japanese.

梅田の新御堂筋沿いにある「ホワイトバード コーヒー スタンド」は、2014年11月にオープンした、こじんまりしていて落ち着く人気のカフェです。

黒を基調としたスタイリッシュな外観とはうって変わって、店内は暖かくほんわかした雰囲気が漂います。テーブル席とカウンター席があり、一部は窓に面しています。

このカフェでは、美味しいケーキと様々な自家製ドリンクが用意されているので、コーヒーを飲めない方でも楽しんでいただけます。

おしゃれカフェが少ないエリアなので、このお店はひときわ目立ちます。最寄り駅は東梅田ですが、北新地、大江橋、淀屋橋、南森町のどの駅からも徒歩５～10分と好アクセスです。

店名はオーナーの干支である鳥にちなんで付けられたそうです。また、オーナーが経営するクライミング・スペース「カワセミ」も同じく鳥の名前が付けられています。
