Located in the north-western part of Kyoto, just a seven-minute walk from Kitanohakubaicho Station and south of the famous Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), is the stylish and inviting 'Piu Cafe'. This trendy cafe first opened its doors in 2016 and is situated on the ground floor of the KNOB apartment building. As you approach, you'll be greeted by a stylish light-blue double door, and during the summer months, a large rusty sliding door in the back of the cafe is unlocked, providing an alternative entrance for customers.

Inside you'll be welcomed by a spacious interior with an industrial-style design, tastefully blended with rustic elements, designed by the firm Kouei. The seating arrangement includes two four-person tables, a large metal table with comfortable benches, four kitchen counter chairs, and a generous table at the back, accommodating up to twenty people.

When it comes to the menu, Piu Cafe offers a delicious variety of savory options for lunch, such as pizzas and pasta. These can be enjoyed as part of the daily set menu or ordered individually. Additionally, their dessert selection features delicious treats like apple pies, scones, tarts, parfaits, and their signature millefeuilles, elegantly served on stylish soapstone plates with a generous scoop of ice cream on top. 京都の北西部、北野白梅町駅から徒歩7分、有名な金閣寺の南に位置するのが、スタイリッシュで居心地の良い「Piu Cafe - ピウカフェ」です。2016年にオープンしたこのお洒落なカフェは、マンション「KNOB」の1階に位置しています。近づくと、スタイリッシュな水色の二重扉が出迎えてくれますが、暑い時期にはカフェの奥にある大きな鉄の引き戸が開かれて、店内により解放感な空間に代わると別の入り口としても使えます。

店内は施工事務所Koueiにデザインされて、広々として、インダストリアルスタイルのデザインでラスティックな要素で構成されています。お客席は、4人掛けテーブルが2つ、ベンチついてる大きな金属のテーブル、キッチンカウンター席が四つ、さらに奥にも一つ大きなテーブルが一つで20人まで利用できます。

ランチメニューはピザやパスタがあり、どちらも日替わりセットメニューや単品でも注文ができます。さらにスイーツメニューにはアップルパイ、スコーン、タルト、パフェとPiu Cafeの名物「ミルフィーユ」のおしゃれなソープストーンのプレートにたっぷりのアイスクリームをのせてエレガントのスイーツもあります。どの料理も見た目も味も最高です。
